We have an solar powered application utilizing the HSPA400AP to periodically (once every 4 hours) send data to host server. Because for most of the time the unit just sits there idling and waiting for that 4-hour target time to come, we are wondering whether the 400AP has a low power mode which consumes as low as possible current in that mode. Then once the 4-hour target time dues, it can self wake up from the low power mode and enter full power mode, send data out, and go back to sleep.
Does anyone know whether this is possible? If no we will have to build external power control circuits.
